Carl, these "building portraits" are a great idea - and excellent educational material for your dry and precise style of framing.
And the could be part of an intercultural training platform as well - building portraits from all countries, executed in individual photography styles. Might be interesting.
Markus, I think you are right about the interest in pictures like this from different places. What got me started on this was really noticing how different things looked in towns/cities in the center of Connecticut compared to the northwest hills area, even though they are barely more than an hour's drive apart.
